So despite the above message in C:\dell\UpdatePackage\log\GetDockVer32W.log that “Dock Firmware Update is incompatible with your system. A14, ,” in which BIOS I recall stands for Basic Input Output System. Then in the ensuing window under “Item” I saw for “BIOS Version/Date” ”Dell Inc. On that day I pressed down on both the “Windows”-symbol-labeled key and the key labeled with “R” using my Dell computer’s keyboard and then in the ensuing window entered “msinfo32”. This is the sort of message I have been noticing beginning on about March 1, 2019. ***Dell Get Dock Version finished at at 16:11:49*** Update utility is only compatible with systems running Dell BIOS. \TB_Dock_Inv.xmlĭock Firmware Update is incompatible with your system. ***Dell Get Dock Version started on at 16:11:49***Ĭommand: C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\invC5D9_tmp\TBT_Dock_Firmware\GetDockVer32W.exe /o=. Today I looked in C:\dell\UpdatePackage\log\GetDockVer32W.log and found: Today, March 12, 2019, I had some more Windows-10 updates installed. For a long time I could see a tray icon for Dell Update in Windows 10 and right-touchpad-button click on it and select something like “Check for updates.” But recently that tray icon disappeared after some Windows 10 updates were reported to be available.
